The government has removed over two crore ineligible beneficiaries from the PMGKAY free foodgrain scheme in recent months, while simultaneously adding new eligible individuals. To enhance transparency and accountability, an AI-powered platform, Asha, has been launched for beneficiaries to provide feedback on ration distribution in their preferred language.
