A chartered Embraer jet carrying Congo’s mines minister and 20 others skidded off the runway and caught fire at Kolwezi Airport. The aircraft, returning from Kinshasa, overshot the runway, with its tail erupting in flames. Miraculously, all passengers evacuated safely with no reported injuries or fatalities. Investigations into the incident are underway.
