Former Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been sentenced to death in absentia by a tribunal she helped establish. The International Crimes Tribunal found her guilty of inciting violence and ordering lethal force during last year’s student-led protests. Hasina, now in exile in India, has denounced the verdict as politically motivated, while Dhaka seeks her extradition.
