Bangladesh’s International Crimes Tribunal has sentenced ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to death for crimes against humanity. Found guilty of ordering killings and inciting violence during a student uprising, Hasina can appeal the verdict within sixty days. India may refuse extradition if the charges are deemed political, adding to Bangladesh’s political uncertainty.
