X, formerly Twitter, has launched XChat, a new privacy-focused messaging service now available on iOS and web, with Android support coming soon. The app offers end-to-end encryption, vanishing messages, file sharing, and audio/video calls, aiming to rival WhatsApp. Some advanced features will be exclusive to premium X users.
