IT giant Cognizant is reportedly training executives on ProHance, a tool that monitors employee laptop activity and application usage for micro-level productivity tracking. The system records mouse and keyboard input to gauge engagement, marking employees as ‘idle’ or ‘away from system’ after specific inactivity periods. While Cognizant states the data won’t impact individual performance reviews, focusing instead on project efficiency and client demands for billable hours, employee concerns about micromanagement persist.
