Oakland police identified Cedric Irving Jr. as the suspect in the fatal shooting of Laney College football coach John Beam. The incident occurred Thursday at the campus fieldhouse, leading to a lockdown. Irving Jr. was arrested Friday morning while armed, following an overnight search. The motive for the shooting remains under investigation.
