An accidental explosion at Nowgam Police Station in Srinagar killed nine people and injured 27 others. The blast occurred while processing a large cache of explosive substances and chemicals recovered during a terror module investigation. The ministry of home affairs has ruled out any terror angle, attributing the incident to the unstable nature of the seized materials.
