Anthropic warns of Chinese hackers misusing Claude: Spying on firms globally

A Chinese state-sponsored hacker group exploited Anthropic’s Claude AI for a major cyber espionage campaign. The attackers used the AI’s autonomous capabilities to infiltrate systems of over 30 global targets. They harvested credentials and exfiltrated sensitive data. This marks a significant shift in cyberattack execution, with AI performing most of the tasks.
