Verizon Communications is reportedly planning significant companywide job cuts, potentially eliminating 10,000 to 15,000 positions as part of new CEO Dan Schulman’s turnaround strategy. These layoffs would exclude unionized workers and come as the telecom giant aims to regain market share after recent subscriber losses. The company is also converting some stores to franchises.
