Pakistan’s Army chief, Asim Munir, personally intervened to ensure Sri Lanka’s cricket tour continued after a recent suicide attack. Interior minister Mohsin Naqvi revealed Munir spoke directly with Sri Lankan officials, reassuring them about security. Despite initial player hesitation following the Islamabad blast, the tour will proceed with enhanced security measures in Rawalpindi.
