With the IPL retention deadline approaching, Mumbai Indians are close to finalising a trade for Kolkata Knight Riders’ leg-spinner Mayank Markande. The move will see the 28-year-old return to his debut franchise after seven years. MI have also shown interest in Rahul Chahar, another former player, as they look to strengthen their spin attack ahead of IPL 2026.
