OpenAI CEO Sam Altman was served a subpoena onstage in San Francisco for an upcoming criminal trial involving anti-AI protesters. The San Francisco Public Defender’s Office stated Altman is a potential witness for the “Stop AI” group, whose members are accused of blocking OpenAI’s offices. The group claims their actions oppose AI’s existential threat to humanity.
