An 18-year-old pregnant college student’s body was found in a septic tank in Assam’s Jorhat district, four days after she went missing. Police arrested a 60-year-old man, Jagat Singh, as the prime accused, along with his sons and a pharmacist, for murder and under the Pocso Act. The officer-in-charge of Titabor Police Station was also removed for alleged negligence.
