Tesla CEO Elon Musk revealed the company is developing its fifth-generation AI chip, AI5, for self-driving systems and is considering collaboration with Intel. Musk also mentioned Tesla might build a “gigantic chip fab” due to supplier limitations, with AI5 production slated for 2026 and AI6 for 2028. This announcement followed shareholder approval of Musk’s substantial pay package.
