Refusing marital intimacy amounts to mental cruelty, says HC – Ruling explained

The Delhi High Court upheld a divorce decree for a husband, citing mental cruelty. The wife’s prolonged refusal of intimacy, repeated absences, retaliatory criminal complaints, and alienation of their son were deemed to make continuing the marriage impossible. These actions collectively constituted mental cruelty under the Hindu Marriage Act.
