A 20-year-old pharmacy student was brutally murdered near a railway track after rejecting a marriage proposal from her neighbour, 28-year-old Vignesh. Police arrested Vignesh, the main accused, and another individual who allegedly harboured him. The victim, Yamini Priya, was attacked with a sharp weapon when she refused his persistent advances. A murder case has been registered.
