Seventeen Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) militants were killed in a joint operation by security forces in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Karak district after they opened fire, injuring three personnel. A curfew was imposed for further operations. Separately, an airstrike reportedly killed 23 civilians, including women and children, in the same province, though no official statement has been issued.
