In Siddharthnagar, Sangeeta Devi and her lover, Anil Shukla, were arrested for murdering Sangeeta’s husband, Kannan Kumar. Sangeeta poisoned Kannan after a temple visit and, with Anil, threw his body into the Rapti river. She then filed a missing person report, but inconsistencies led to her confession. Kannan’s brother had already suspected foul play due to marital issues.
