Security forces in Imphal West halted a student and women-led rally heading to Raj Bhavan, protesting the concealment of ‘Manipur’ on a government bus. Tear gas was deployed to disperse the demonstrators who then formed a human chain. Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla, upon arrival, was escorted to Kangla Fort by helicopter due to the ongoing protests demanding an apology.
