Madhya Pradesh HC upholds sacking of judge who ‘made cops and lawyers do squats’

The Madhya Pradesh High Court validated the dismissal of a civil judge, Kaustubh Khera, who was accused of forcing lawyers and police to perform humiliating acts as a form of apology during contempt proceedings. The court emphasized that Khera’s discharge was due to unsatisfactory performance, a decision made by the full court, and did not warrant interference.
