India’s smartphone exports outpace petrol & diamonds to top export chart

India’s smartphone exports have surged, surpassing petroleum products and diamonds to become the nation’s top export. Driven by policy incentives and rising demand, shipments climbed 55% to $24.14 billion in 2024-25. The US and Japan are major contributors, with exports to the US jumping fivefold.
