AI can predict cancer survival by analysing an individual’s selfie

Researchers at Mass General Brigham have created FaceAge, an AI tool that estimates biological age from facial features. A study of over 6,000 cancer patients revealed that those with an older FaceAge had poorer survival rates. Integrating FaceAge with clinical assessments improved the accuracy of predicting survival outcomes, potentially revolutionizing patient care through tailored treatment plans.
