The Russian Embassy in New Delhi will honour former Odisha CM Biju Patnaik on Victory Day, commemorating the Soviet Union’s victory over Nazi Germany. Russian Ambassador Denis Alipov invited Naveen Patnaik to the event, where External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar will be the chief guest. Biju Patnaik is recognized for his participation in the Stalingrad Operation and support to the Red Army during World War II.
