Amid heavy snowfall near Mana, an avalanche forced 23 men to run for their lives, barefoot and underdressed in freezing conditions. Led by Laddu Kumar Pandit on a loader, the group navigated through snow and winds for 4km to reach safety at a Border Roads Organisation camp, eventually receiving medical attention at the Military Hospital in Jyotirmath.
