Jamnagar man dies of Crimean-Congo haemorrhagic fever

A 51-year-old resident of Jamnagar died from Crimean-Congo haemorrhagic fever (CCHF). The patient was admitted to GG Hospital and his sample tested positive at the National Institute of Virology in Pune. Human-to-human transmission is rare, and the infection likely occurred through tick bites due to the patient’s involvement in farming and animal husbandry.
