Andhra to overhaul intermediate education system, introduce major reforms

The Andhra Pradesh government is set to reform its intermediate education system, including canceling first-year public exams. Instead, colleges will conduct internal exams, mirroring the CBSE model, while the Intermediate Board will focus on second-year public exams. New NCERT textbooks will be introduced in 2025–26, aligning the state with national standards. The reforms aim to modernize the curriculum, improve exam transparency, and better prepare students for competitive exams. Stakeholders are invited to provide feedback by January 26, 2025.
