Gypsies corner tigers in wildlife sanctuary, Bombay HC steps in

The Nagpur bench of the Bombay high court addressed concerns over tourists cornering a tigress and her cubs in Umred-Pauni-Karhandla Sanctuary. Criticizing the forest officials’ failure to prevent such incidents, the court demanded a report on actions taken and proposed measures. Violators face potential imprisonment or fines under the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972.
