A college student from Varanasi was extorted and assaulted by a group of men using a dating app on December 7. The attackers lured him, took him to a secluded area, assaulted him, and forced him to transfer Rs 1 lakh via UPI. The incident occurred near his college in Knowledge Park, and the student has filed a police complaint.
