DoT has ‘fake scam calls’ warning for users: How and where to report fraud

The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) is raising awareness about fake calls and fraudulent communications, advising citizens on how to report scams. They suggest filing police complaints, calling 1930, and reporting incidents on the Sanchar Saathi portal. Telecom operators have been instructed to play cybercrime awareness messages 8-10 times daily for three months to educate the public on common scams.
